Jefferson
Jackson Steele is an independent
freelance photographer
who lives in Baltimore,
MD. He moved to Baltimore
in 1989 to attend school
at the Maryland Institute
College of Art. Jefferson
earned his BFA in fine
art photography in 1992
from the Institute, and
has been working in Baltimore
and beyond ever since.
Jefferson has worked with
a variety of clients (see
client list in the "Assignments
& Clients" portfolio).
He works work creatively,
using various "experimental"
cameras and special darkroom
techniques to achieve
his bold, unique style.
Jefferson
utilizes traditional photo
techniques, as well as
working with digital photography.
He specializes in location
photography for editorial
use, music, fashion, entertainment,
and portraiture. Jefferson's
images are striking and
eye-catching. He can work
with all formats (35mm
to 4x5, and everything
in between!) in both color
and black & white. He
has a valid passport,
and can travel to any
location to work.
